In this work the hands, which originally create and manipulate the machines, are highlighted within a system.  They really are taken away from us.  When we use communication devices our bodies hybridise with the technical equipment.  Remote controls extend the body and in some systems the movements are recorded and logged; thereby electronically creating remnants of the actions we perform. Everyone leaves a trace on the machine.  If a musician plays a song that is stored into an electronic keyboard, we see the same phenomenon of disembodiment.  But what about the keyboards that play themselves?  It is still a performance of the human.
